PREGNOLIA
Pregnolia is an ETH Spin-off that has developed a device to improve pregnancy care. It was founded in 2016, building on the Ph.D. work of Dr. Sabrina Badir. She was part of the interdisciplinary research team at ETH Zürich and the University Hospital in Zürich that studied the changes in stiffness of the human uterine cervix during pregnancy. Their goal was to detect these earlier and more accurately these changes. Cervical stiffness is one of the important factors that determine the risk of preterm birth.
The team has since grown, combining scientific, technical, and medical know-how.
Quality Management
Pregnolia has established a quality management system according to the standard EN ISO 13485:2021.

This certification demonstrates that Pregnolia is compliant with the requirements for a quality management system used in the design and manufacture of medical devices.
The Pregnolia products are CE certified (Directive 93/42/EEC resp. Regulation EU 2017/745 on Medical Devices).
