Cervical softening occurs early in pregnancy: characterization of cervical stiffness in 100 healthy women using the aspiration technique

The Pregnolia System measures cervical stiffness: the device was used in 50 non-pregnant and 50 pregnant women to measure cervical stiffness in normal pregnancies.

The Pregnolia System is currently used in the following clinical studies

SoftCervix

The study aims to demonstrate that biomechanical data (cervical stiffness) might complement morphological data (cervical length) to improve prediction of preterm delivery. Cervical stiffness with the Pregnolia System is measured at mid-pregnancy.

This trial quantifies the mechanical environment of pregnancies complicated by a short cervix and randomized to receive a pessary via ultrasound imaging and cervical stiffness measurement.

ATOPS

Cervical stiffness measurement in cervical insufficiency

Will women for whom a cerclage is indicated have cervical stiffness lower than normal controls? This study is investigating this question via using the Pregnolia System.

EU Horizon information

Pregnolia has been awarded a SME Instrument Phase 2 Grant of € 1.28 million. The grant is used to improve the manufacturability of the diagnostic device for the preterm birth risk assessment and to perform activities towards commercial readiness.
